Hey all! Two quick things regarding the streams this month, and the next edited videos;
First, we're cramming all the 2D Metroid games into our livestreams this month. Metroid 5 launches early October, and I'm trying to complete 1-4 on stream before then. Naturally we'll be playing Dread on stream when it comes out too. Since we have a lot to get through I'll be streaming on odd days rather than just weekends, make sure to enable YT's notifications or join our Discord so you get a ping when we go live. After our Metroid binge, we'll return to RTSs on the stream for a little bit, probably starting with Dune 2000, and we'll go back to weekend streams to decrease the likelihood of going live when everyone's working.
Second, I'm getting back into our edited stuff. The next C&C lore video has been decided on, but first I'm running through a load of files to upscale the RA2 cutscenes in the highest possible quality. There will be a video going into detail on the process once it's all done, but I've upgraded to using Avisynth+ QTGMC for the best deinterlacing on the DVD footage and in-game Binks before running them through the upscalers. Since this'll be a big project to get done right, I have a handful of smaller videos on the way in the meantime (an audio-only one like the one on the Tacitus will likely be first) just to keep us going in the interim. This sort of thing is why I'm focusing on doing more streams, since they don't get in the way of editing much I can at least put out content when I'm tied up in a big thing like this.
If Jimtern resurfaces with RC2, let him know I've got a present for him!
