Doh! I always have dofficulty getting both sides of the chain exactly the same.. And how low do you go with the rakers compared to crosscut...

What do you think is the cause of really rough surface on the plank? Sometimes it's very smooth, sometimes I get a washboard effect.

Hi Friends. So after removing one six inch nail, I myself, hammered into this tree decades earlier to make it clime-uppable, two chains later, it turns out I needed more 'holds' than I remembered! I guess the mill chain sharpening video I keep threatening to make is next up... Anything people would like me to particularly address, any problems you have had specifically in regards to CS milling chains? Any specific questions?
