First wedding with the Ronin SC. Have any of you bought it? Why or why not? So far so good will be working on my full review

@pawelsaracen

Yep. I just bought it. First thing I noticed compared to Crane Plus that sport mode is much better. Reacts better. Also like to lock mode - you just pull the trigger. Very intuitive. Switching between modes is transparent and more easy. Also like the feature that you can choose/customize what function to have on which mode.

Literally bought a ronin S like 2 weeks before this was announced. 🤙🏻 super happy with it as it’s not that heavy and it’ll work with any camera I throw at

I never hopped onto the 3 axis gimble train. I've always found the organic imperfections of a stedicam worth the extra time for me. They are also much easier to cut together with a shoulder rig. That said there are some impossible shots that gimbels have made possible. So I stil love having them accessible.

Not sure yet. I use the 16-35 f2.8 GM a lot in underslung mode a lot on the “S” and afraid it won’t work in the SC. But the weight of the SC is so much better.

Sold my ronin-s when I got my Bmpcc4k, going full shoulder-rig with rods and going back to the natural shake look. Tired of gimbals

@musicelect

I just sold my Ronin-S because I went to a shoulder rig. My camera has poor autofocus and I'm shooting on vintage manual focus lenses. Trying to pull focus on a gimbal is too difficult.

Got it today. Charged it. Realised I don't need gimbal for my type of vlogs. Stays in the corner.

Got it. I really like the size and feel. Haven’t shot with it though.

Loved your video comparison with the Crane 2.....curious to see your final thoughts on those two gimbals once you get more time with the SC.

I am tired of gimble nowadays. Hand-held is more appreciated for me. But glidecam seems more reasonable in investment plus no need to worry for electronics getting jammed or wet in harsh conditions and even better for weight (load) capacity. Seems more organic btw i use gimble but thinking to leave it home for most of the shoot.

Thinking of trading in my Ronin S for the SC to use with a Fujifilm X-T3, but concerned with whether it will be able to be used in underslung mode.

No because there is the FeiyuTech ak2000 and ak4000. Half the cost and completely legit equipment!

Not with that small payload. even if the lens was small and prime (which mine usually is... ) I cant put the little aperture amaran light that i LOVE on top quickly. would weigh too much.

@ekphotography

Looks nice but already own the S and prefer one that allows heavier pay loads!!

Want to pick one up, but waiting for the full review 🙏

Been thinking about trading off my Ronin S for the SC instead. The lighter package makes wedding days easier... I'm not going to be putting anything heavier than my a7iii on it.

I'm looking really hard at the Feiyutech ak4500. More comprable to the S but lighter.

I’ll be posting a review soon as well. Some reasons why you may want to skip it. G master glass. Canon body etc.

How about Sony a6500 with cage + Sigma 18-35 1.8? Zhiuyn Crane 2 can balance it good.
