It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of some people in more "mainstream" deep learning based AI research on the subject as there doesn't appear to be much back and forth between those two worlds. I'm currently eagerly awaiting Jeff's appearance on Machine Learning Street Talk for this reason.

Yes with engineers, entrepreneurs, architects, artists, philosophers and historians. Not with journalists, politicians, public school teachers etc, who are most interested in learning to lie more effectively.
