I did a brief assignment in my college history class that I used as an opportunity to talk about the tragedy. It and other Asian history deserves a spotlight in American education. Society must learn to prevent it from happening again. I am angry for the victim’s and their families.

7 years ago, on April 16, 2014, 304 passengers died during the sinking of the Sewol ferry. 250 high school students were among the victims. Today, we renew our promise to never forget the victims of this preventable tragedy. The truth shall not sink with the Sewol. #Remember0416
