Hey guys, this is a shout out to the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum. It’s located in Alameda, California on board the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet CV-12. She’s named after the USS Hornet CV-8 which was mortally wounded in Santa Cruz in 1942. If you ever have the chance, go check out the museum. Although we find ourselves in unique circumstances given the pandemic, both the hangar bay and flight deck are still available for tours. It also has great exhibits on display, such as one that covers the history of the ship (CV-8 and CV-12) and their roles in World War 2, and another exhibit that covers the evolution of the aircraft carrier. Oh and not to mention, they have over 15 aircraft on display including a Wildcat and an Avenger. Definitely worth paying a visit if you are able to. If not, you can always explore it digitally on their webpage.
