That show is freaking amazing.

@Shlbizzy_21

It was good, but it needed to focus more on his story, like his culture, and up bring, and more historical accuracy.

Your research is impressive and informative. I appreciate this channel, as a South African woman.

Had high expectations for the show but....they did TOO many random plot lines and characters (like Saki, like...why tf is Saki a THING? Its just an overpowered child arc type shit). And not to mention the weird historical inaccuracies that would've been okay w/ an anime, because Anime isnt and doesn't have to be historically accurate, but the random elements in there diverted from the Yasuke story many Yasuke fans wanted to see.

@SAGE0FTHEEAST

I liked how they didn't subscribe to the notion that he was sent back to be a slave but rather said no, he was a ronin during those "lost" years. This is the story they were trying to tell with the last samurai but instead of using Yasuke they used a Frenchman by the name of Jules Brunet. Also Chadwick Boseman was set to star in a movie based on the life of Yasuke before he passed.

I didn't finished it up. I think I watched the first 2. I was looking for a cool history movie. The story and action and pace was off. But I didn't watch it all the way through.

I was lowkey disappointed with the lack of focus and the fantasy elements in the show. I’m not that into Mecca, so the robots in feudal Japan threw me ALL the way off lol.

I really don't like live, I prefer videos.

@josephmoore5422

It was horrible. They tried the shallow, all flash no substance approach. I was disappointed when it wasn't a more grounded take but I'm always up for good fantasy and it wasn't even that. It was just random bits thrown together

Talk about how horrible the opening theme song is, so no one makes that mistake again!😝 Show was decent. Seemed a little rushed though

You have videos that contradict each other period in one video you saying that the black taken and slavery are the Hebrew. And then another video you trying to prove that they're not. It seems like he's trying to have both sides. Pick a side where do you stand
