The North Face's Siebe Vanhee recently completed a rare repeat of the 200m 'Project Fear' in the Italian Dolomites in extreme conditions.
“It was freezing cold,” he tells us. “In my first two tries I made heartbreakingly close falls at the very top. For the third time I was hanging on the rest, looking up to the two roof cruxes. Arriving at the lip of the roof I stuck the final jug, and I let out screams of joy that were answered by my Italian belayer, and a big audience that had arrived down low!”.
