So that's the Switch Pro we've been waiting for. Thanks Gaben-sama ❤️

Can we just talk about how, for only $50 more than the new Switch, you get significantly more options, performance, and usability? Seriously, an AMD APU will wipe the floor with the aging Tegra X1. And the device being a usable PC on top of that, should make it a no-brainer choice. That $400 entry point is the single biggest selling point for this device, and will either drive down the prices of any existing/future handheld PC's, or drive out the competition. Edit: Spellings.

For only $100 more you get more power and every game you have in your Steam library. That's a much better value proposition than the Switch, though only if you already PC game and don't care about Nintendo exclusives

Well I've been saving up money for the OLED switch. I am going to order this instead. I don't need two switches anyways

It’s gonna run all the games the Switch can’t like RDR2, GTA5, Resident Evil 2-3 remake and 8, Gears 5, Days Gone, Forza, Need for Speed, Tekken 7, Metro Exodus, Cod MW, etc

Still so many hurdles to overcome. PC gamers can stream their high end pc to a device they already own. Console gamers won't have a steam library to jump into. Switch buyers will be turned off by the higher price point and dock sold separately. That said, this might be perfect for me. I use my phone out work computer for pretty much everything, but I could use a PC for light productivity tasks and I miss my steam library. Then again, for the price of the 64gb, dock and monitor I could get an equally capable laptop.

Valve just announced their Handheld, and almost every point I made on my analysis seems to have been on the money. Valve is making an affordable PC Handheld on their own OS to make an ecosystem play. Amazing.
If you want to know how in the world Valve is getting to Switch-like prices watch this video!
