#Snapdragon8PlusGen1 is really impressive.
Top Android CPU performance with very good efficiency improvements.
GPU is arguably better than Apple A15 in some tests for both performance AND efficiency.
Compared to predecessor SD8Gen1:
CPU Big: Perf+8%, Power-15%, Efficiency+28%
CPU Mid: Perf+12%, Power-30%, Efficiency+60%
GPU:Perf+5%, Power-12%, Efficiency+19%
Aren't those amazing numbers?
If we had this from the beginning of the year, 2022 could've been a much better year for Android users...

It's too bad Samsung cannot compete. Not only is their cutting edge process a whole generation behind in terms of density, efficiency and power, but it also has worse yields on top of all that as well. Hats off to TSMC for this one, there is no way more than 1/4 of this improvement comes from Qualcomm's design refinement, especially for a mid year refresh. Hopefully Samsung can get a handle on its 3nm GAAFET process and get back in the game.

D9000 was pretty good though rare. That’s a really impressive leap from the regular to the revised version. Who says revised version is always just a slight bump. Maybe the same people who says software updates are pointless.

And i think that Qualcomm should "keep out" Samsung Foundry & let TSMC handle all future flagship processor.

Impressive results from sd8+ gen1

@MOTHIATMAN

So it's either tsmc is too good or samsung is too bad or Qualcomm went back to drawing board. I personally don't think it's 3rd option since this is very similar to SD 8 gen 1 interms of design

@abdfahim1144

Samsung should also go for tsmc for 2300..

Qualcom will soon bypass Apple silicones. The only big issue is Android optimization

@Hypern0va

I would say android phones can still either be a hit or a miss, as you’ve shown recently, dimensity 8100 can either perform amazingly or be a disappointment depending on a device. With iPhones you get top of the line every single time. I’ll be waiting for apple to switch to 3nm and steamroll the competition this year with 14.

Those improvements are almost as good as Year over year Improvements....

Brother it's impressive how you uniquely analyze the smartphones gaming performance... Keeping that in mind I have a request make a detailed video on MEMC (Video smoothing/enhancement) supporting smartphones especially OnePlus devices... I've tried to find any information on this but there is no legit information on YouTube or any blog post... It's a very impressive feature for people who consume media on smartphone but no one seems to be aware of it

The a15 is overall still a ways ahead but it’s a good improvement. Shows how awful Samsungs 4nm was

I saw some blaming Samsung's 4nm manufacturing process for the SD8G1 fail bruh, (same with SD888)
