In case you didn't hear... The Blackmagic Camera app is now ALSO available on Android. So pretty much any compatible phone can run this great (and free) app now!
Btw, I'm working on a video looking at the new Final Cut Camera app and Kino from the Halide folks, too... Lots of interesting options out there right now. -BC
