The success of TikTok has brought attention to it. It’s connection to China has brought it under US scrutiny. Why does it need to be sold to a US company? Why does the US need to be in control of everything? Doesn’t that sound a bit “dictatorish”? In any case, it poses no immediate threat but I think people need to monitor what they consume on Social Media in general. I for one am tired of the mindless doom scroll.

The US government shouldn’t target 1 specific app but make regulations to guard against “strategic issue”. This might be a shocker but TikTok isn’t the only Chinese app. What’s the strategy here? Bring every Chinese company CEO to congress to decide if they should be banned…
