I get the wire pots/baskets from Dollar Tree and use them upside down over seedlings, to keep the squirrels out.

Are these the dollar tree waste baskets you can order on their website? I bought a set to turn upside down on young plants to keep rabbits,etc from eating them. They're just as good as those expensive cages but at a fraction of the price.

I love the wire basket idea and it worked for me.. my fancy plant stand for $3 but I looked at the colorful little waste basket and the number wasn’t 5 so I can’t grow food in it?
