People have dogged on my love for this expansion’s campaign, talking like “it’s definitely made with ai” or “it’s almost as bad as curse of Osiris”, so I’m glad to see others enjoyed it too, cause I really do feel like it was great story, and I can’t help but feel the hate being thrown towards it is from people having expectations too high or not having even played or actually paid attention to the story

I didn't expect to love Lodi so much but now i can't fucking wait to hear more of him :3 Btw if i had the capacity i'd make an edit of Lodi as the Lofi girl but he's writing alien languages in his notebook in the middle of the caldera

Matterspark replacing our vehicles is weird but i enjoyed it. An infinitely better story than lightfall. Everyones complaints about EoF should've been about lighfall but the vast majority of this community enjoys slop and refuses to enjoy something that actually has substance.

I heard that the nine destroyed orins ghost, but to do that they set in motion events that would start the red war. Though this could be wrong I haven't played and have just seen some videos

The gross overuse of ball mode is really my only complaint, other than Legendary being way too easy in a 3 stack, but that’s been the case since LF. Otherwise it was very good, and MUCH larger and more intriguing than I ever expected

I agree that the story of this expansion is amazing, but I have some problems w/ the campaign level design. The Metroid-style puzzles are very obtuse, which is fine in Metroid where the vast majority of those puzzles are for optional upgrades like Energy Tanks or Missile Expansions, but you need to beat them in order to advance the story. A fine idea, but if Bungie decides to do this again, they need to make the puzzles more of an optional thing that you can get rewarded for doing or else just bypass it and go straight to combat.

Very early on story seems good my issue is the light gating harder content and the sheer amount of new stuff for an expansion now msybe there is more than i know of idk seems light af for a SEASON much less an expansion I want witch queen type of things I know final shape us a one off bc of how it was developed them spliced back but shoot this doesnt look good to me so far

Story was great. Really good. Everything else is genuinely ass. Weapon and armor tiering is horrendous, never should’ve done this armor 3.0, NO SEASONAL content whatsoever. They’re just giving us old content advertised as new. This is genuinely the worst dlc, not including Story, we’ve ever experienced. Lightfall at least dropped with new seasonal activity to farm after the fact.

This Edge of Fate Campaign is actually great! If this was Lightfall, Lightfall would have skyrocketed in sales.
The writing is excellent, the characters are loveable, and the puzzles are a lot like Portal 2. Some are hair pulling, but that's the point. You're not supposed to eager edge rush it, it's actually fun to figure out.
This is a good Expansion actually, it's Goated! Still playing the story, I'm very late because the timing was during one of the busiest weeks ever at my job. Definitely recommend Edge of Fate for all who like a casual, laid back low stakes, down to earth story! :)
As a writer, this is an EXCELLENT way to begin a new Saga. Start small, start humble. Build from there. I love it!
