RIP to George. 🙏 Prayers for him, his family, his friends, his fans, his Cheers cast mates and crew, the many other cast and crew members that he worked with, and many more.

This is truly heartbreaking news and I wasn’t expecting to hear it at all. George Wendt is definitely a great actor and will be sorely missed. RIP to a legend!

Yeah that is very sad. RIP. Such a talented and loveable member of the Cheers family. The show just wouldn’t have been quite the same without him. Gutting news.

George was great in many things - including as a contestant on the U.S. celebrity version of "The Weakest Link" and in a guest role as bartender at an airport bar, patronized by Ted Danson on an episode of "Becker"...and in a minor supporting role in one of my fave films, "Fletch" as Fat Sam , a minor local drug distributor who turns evidence against a bigger drug operation in exchange for immunity from drug charges! 😝

Heartbroken.
Today, the 32nd anniversary of the Cheers finale, the world lost George Wendt. It doesn't feel real. However, it's beautiful to see my feed so full of many lovely photos of Wendt, people sharing their personal stories of times spent working with him.
Although known best for his portrayal of "NORM!" Peterson, he had an extensive career with many great roles across a wide range of genres.
Still, none will make me smile as much as this photo of Norm and some kittens.
My thoughts are with his family. ❤️Cheers for everything. 🍻
