That’s a nice fact to know. All Palestinians deserve freedom, regardless of which religion they’re from.

I had a Hindu teacher once, we all told him assalamualaikum once and he responded walaikumsalam and every one of us were surprised. He then said, "it's just a greeting".

Quran Surah Al-Baqarah: verse 255 2:255 ALLAH! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat1 encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.2

The word “ilāh” (إله) in Arabic means “a god,” or something that is worshipped — it’s a general term, not a proper name. But “Allāh” (الله) is not just the Arabic word for “God”; it’s the personal and unique name of the One True Creator, who alone deserves worship. That’s why in the Shahāda we say: Lā ilāha illā Allāh “There is no god (ilāh) worthy of worship except Allāh.” Here we negate all false gods — “lā ilāha” — and affirm the exclusive right of Allāh to be worshipped — “illā Allāh.” Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) and Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) they explain this issue in their book in depth.

Yes I understood this when I came to live in the Arab region 35 years ago. I had my Arab colleagues from Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon like countries. Their Bible is also in Arabic.
