Finished watching the entire first season of IT: Welcome to Derry.
Safe to say, this is easily one of the best Stephen King adaptations and one of the best horror shows of all time. If you weren't a fan of the two films, I think you'll be pleased with this, as it succeeds in almost every way. The acting and characters are exceptional, and it addresses so much lore about the Kingverse, from IT to the The Shinning, and even more.
Episode 8 was easily the best. I won't spoil too much, but it has some crazy twists in it. Another great aspect is the effects. Even the CGI is a massive improvement over the films. It also goes into interesting concepts, such as the government trying to find It and using it as a weapon to control America through fear. The idea sounds dumb on paper. But it's executed in a way that's extremely captivating.
Overall, this is an amazing series, and I highly recommend it to every Stephen King and IT fan. 9/10!
