Key Responsibilities
• Create and manage interactive dashboards and report templates using the Power BI Windows.
• Learn about business needs, then translate those requirements into an efficient solution for reporting.
• Create and maintain Data models in line with Power BI best practices.
• Write DAX measures, calculated columns and KPIs to meet the reporting requirements.
• Conduct data transformations, clean and tidy up data using Power Query (M).
• Connect to a variety of databases, such as Excel, SQL Server, and cloud-based databases.
• Create dashboards for the Power BI Service and schedule refreshes, and manage access control.
• Install Row-Level Security (RLS) to restrict access at the user level when required.
• Make sure dashboards are optimized for efficiency and accessibility across various devices.
• Collaboration with team leaders, business analysts and product managers to improve reports.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees with a focus on Engineering, Computer Applications, or a similar technical field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in the field of Microsoft Power BI developer or in reporting for business intelligence.
• Practical knowledge of DAX for the calculation of fields, measures and advanced expressions.
• A knowledge of Power and Query (M) for data transformation.
• Expertise in SQL is essential, as is an ability to search, verify, and troubleshoot issues with data.
• Experienced in the design of visuals, slicers, customized filters and pages that drill through.
• Ability to analyze relationships between data, build star schemas and improve data models.
