He sings my all time favorite song, What A Wonderful World. I’ve never had a song hit my heart and soul the way his did and with his voice, it all came together as perfection to me. To this day I can still hear my dad singing it, thinking we were too little, not paying any attention, playing, or whatever we were doing. Me I kept doing whatever it was I was doing because I knew if my dad knew I was listening to him he would stop singing. It was very very rare to hear my dad sing. Even though he was a great singer, Throughout childhood and adulthood I heard him sing maybe 7 times. 5 out of the 7 was this song. Not counting the Christian songs he would sing along with. Then I remember, don’t worry be happy song, and him singing the song red red wine, he thought they were funny and liked them. But Louise Armstrong, what a wonderful world could make him cry, in his 40s up to his 70s and in his 70s I know he was looking back on his life and that song was the one to him. As I child I didn’t really understand it all but as an adult I completely understand. I get it, and now it’s one of the only songs that can make me cry too. I’m glad my dad was my interdiction to this song, im glad I can still hear his voice singing it ( it’s special to me) and I’m glad Louise Armstrong made it, sang it and I’m glad he brought it into this world! We need more songs like these songs in the world. The U S especially. ❤️
