Snoop Dogg: The Dogg Father. At first it was commercially successful but it quickly died down. It was a terrible follow up after Doggystyle. Cordae: From A Bird’s Eye View. I remember being kinda excited about his second album, but after hearing the singles I wasn’t too hyped. He went solo from YBN, he had the support from veterans like J. Cole and Dr. Dre, nothing could hold him back, but somehow he still flopped. Again, he too set a decent standard with his first album and he just couldn’t top it. Again. Even after his 3rd.

Vol 1 from Jay Z would be a good one. I still listen to that album but it gets overshadowed and lost in between Reasonable Doubt and Vol 2 Hard Knock Life

People thought Beastie Boys Paul’s Boutique was a sophomore slump… but with enough time, it was considered the best album of their career.

Interesting I always noticed the trend of sophomores being the best album from alot of artists

Notable sophomore slumps would be Mase's Double Up & Puffy's Forever albums. Neither sold what their debuts did & received heavy negative reviews by fans & critics.

Warren G when “I want it all” dropped as it wasn’t performing all that well compared to his hit debut album “Regulate”

I need your help! I'm currently thinking about doing a video on rappers that experienced having a 'Sophomore Slump'. If you guys can leave some examples that you'd like me to discuss that would be greatly appreciated. (The picture is irrelevant btw :))
