Sampa The Great
A few hrs from my sophomore album drop….
This is the first time I’ve had an album release that I’m not anxious or nervous about. I mean it when I say it was my freest album
Sometimes I put ridiculous amounts of pressure on myself to be perfect, to be an example/ambassador that no on asked me to be, mostly because of where my career started and it took this whole return to ask myself one question. Why do I make music?
The younger me started making music because it’s the way I dealt with life, the way I documented my life experience and the way I enjoyed the journey of this life.
The last part is a new addition to the answer of this question: why do you make music?
