Welcome back! Thank you so much for telling us about your musical and technical adventures! It means so much to all of us as we all go through many similar issues. Your studio is one of the most beautiful ones and majestic! It is like a magician's place! So glad that everything went well with updates and that we shall hear your new amazing creations. :) As a new subscriber, it is just like I am living a new life after discovering your music. It is like you were able to express all what I kept hearing in my heart as I looked at the night sky, as I walked through the forest or just dreamt about deep space. Your music is a miracle that we are blessed to hear! :) I am also hoping to get back to music even though I am far from home at the moment and do not have anything to play on. I am trying to decide if I have to get Korg Wavestate SE or module with a Midi keyboard (Korg Keystage) or maybe try to get Korg M3 instead... I always dreamt of Korg M3 for years, but could not afford it. And not so long time ago I discovered Korg Wavestate and it "simply felt right" from the start. :) Any thoughts and recommendations would be truly welcome! Thank you so much again from all my heart! 500 Updates and 10 reboots ^^' Know too good how that must have felt.. In my case also the DAW (Reason) was phasing out, and the upgrade to a new version was surprisingly cheap, so I immediately went for it. This machine is 10 years young. The only thing that could kill it would be when the DAW support runs out for that OS. Anyway, I'm happy to hear your setup is up and running again! ☺️ Are you, btw, satisfied with your Onyx16?

I'm your audience for my recordings, but I only record in one go on 1 track. I know I can do lots more with it, but I might try a daw ?

Jesus, the last few weekends have been quite something 😶
My little Mackie Pro FX12 mixer has developed such severe problems that music production was no longer an option. Recordings became more and more of an adventure 😃
So: a new mixer was needed. I'd been eyeing the Mackie Onyx 16 for a while – and finally, I've bought it.
This inevitably led to the next hurdle: my studio computer is now 15 years old, and the operating system and various drivers are outdated. Since it's never been connected to the internet, that wasn't a problem.
So, my studio computer was completely modernized.
500 updates, 10 reboots, and with a new operating system later, the Onyx was finally ready to go. 😵💫
My computer, still lightning-fast for its age, is now entering its second life.
Now comes the best part for me: setting up the Onyx and fine-tuning it and routing it in the DAW.
The first test recordings are in the bag - everything's working!
Now I have more channels at my disposal and even some new, pretty handy features.
If everything continues to run smoothly, I can finally indulge in my keyboard universe again and soon present new works from Matzumi 🥰
