Well I’m here to inform you of the unfortunate reason why. Don’t worry, it’s not anything super serious like an Illness or anything like that, so you can clear that off your list of concerns, however there’s still some bad news I have to give you
You see recently I’ve been working on finding a way to post my edits In their full quality and I was just able to acquire CapCut premium. I know that might not sound like a big deal, but for me these edits are the only pieces “art “ I feel comfortable sharing the world at the moment, so this was huge
After considering what I’d do next, I determined that I should just leave my uploads on YouTube, and repost, the higher quality versions and TikTok, which I had been planning to start simul-posting on anyways
Now if you keep up with the news, then I’m sure you can immediately spot the elephant in the room. That being the fact that TikTok and its sister editing software, CapCut are being banned as a result of the new law which Congress passed and the Supreme Court upheld
I won’t go into the lengthy legal details of how exactly it works because frankly, I’m not sure I entirely understand it, however in the simplest possible terms, it means that TikTok, CapCut & some other apps are being banned as a result of their ownership at the hands of Chinese companies, something which supposedly poses a security risk
So in other words, I won’t be able to post my edits in 2k-quality. And if that wasn’t enough for you, I had actually started working on an edit to commemorate all the good time I & others spent on the platform
In case you haven’t figured it out already it was Lost VS Six Feet Under, and it was shaping up to be the greatest edit I’ve ever made. Sadly, however, both TikTok and CapCut are in the process of shutting down their servers, and my edit is no longer accessible and maybe lost forever(no pun intended)
