I'm going to try Shorts on my channel very soon, as an addition to my usual content. I don't like it, nor do I believe in the format. Problem is: When YouTube started prioritizing Shorts in November last year, the algorithm became very unkind to me. Lost half of my usual view count, and two thirds of new subscriber count, this channel is barely growing for a few months now. Many of my composer colleagues have confirmed similar drops in their YouTube stats.
So I guess I need to adapt. No worries - I will keep posting my long immersive album compilations, alongside with the single track videos. But I would like to see the impact of posting Shorts of these videos in between, even though I despise doing that. Hope you don't take it as an incentive to run away :)
However, if you have ideas on what can be done to grow this channel, all input is much appreciated! :) Let me know what you think!
Other than that, there are a few videos coming up with music that I didn't share with you, yet. And the final chapter of "Isverden" is almost around the corner, too. Stay tuned!
