Doing another interview with the mighty Rob Ruccia, engineer for First of October, about this year's "Album in a Day."

Comment below any question you have about the day, the mix/master of the album, or anything else and I'll ask him the top rated questions :)

I just want Rob to know that we appreciate how quickly he can move to set and reset, almost treating the studio like a live stage. That's an uncommon situation yet he and his team all handle it professionally and with a positive attitude!

@Owenthestig

What is a song that you wish Rob and Andrew had more time to work on? What is your current favorite first of October song?

@Orbindo

What instrument do you hope Rob and Andrew never bring to a First of October recording day?

@Ehrmann_Gregsson

Massive respect to ya! I consider you as the full-fledged third member of the band. You do a lot of work for FoO to be what they are. And also every year you participate more in this CHAOTIC creative process. And that's awesome. Thank you for your work!

How different did it feel using click tracks on Chaos compared to previous year's recordings with just Rob and Andrew's timekeeping? Do you think it's something that you will encourage with future FoO sessions?

@Block57

Does it ever get confusing having two (or more) Robs in the studio?

@PatrickHaeslerMusic

Do you use a different mastering chain for each song, or do you have a consistent workflow? Either way, could you share some of your go-to processing elements?

What is something you want Rob or Andrew to improve on for the next album?

@ThisisStephennn

He did such an amazing job this year. The best sounding album from the bunch imo

Is he now aware of how much we love him? ❤️

There seemed to be more technical difficulties all over the place this year. How much of an effect do you think this makes on both the mood and the final album and the end of the day?

How long do you spend setting up the studio, prior to Rob, Andrew and the crew getting there? Also, do you speak to Rob (Scallon lol) prior to the session about what instruments he wants to bring and prep for that? Ps, you’re honestly sick at what you do and I’ve not long since started my studio engineer career and can only imagine the stress and chaos that must come from these sessions with setting up, stuff not working, daw crashing etc. :)

@Sean-Ax

Can I just say "hi"? and that I really appreciate what you do for this band. That's all I ask.

Has working with First of October resulted in new/interesting/different interactions with other artists, engineers, producers, etc.? If so, do you get the sense it has shaped your image in the music scene and how do you feel about it?

How much disc space does recording a FOO day use up? (I remember seeing a shot clip about multi vs stereo tracking ) Ps thanks you for making it happen!!

@thesagapov

How has working with First of October affected your approach to engineering for other bands? Also, when are we getting the Ruccia vocal feature on a First of October song? I need to hear you say “ROB’S MOM” but in reference to your own mom to complete my life.

@saigeyoksh

Do the FOO sessions get easier or harder for you each year? For instance, was it easier this year because you had done it three times previously, or has it become harder each year due to more elements and instruments being introduced?

@TheBlueMeanie101

How do you think chaos ranks alongside the other FOO discography in your opinion? (It's also amazing that a band that lasted 4 days has a discography that can be discussed too xD)

@timwilson032

How difficult of a process is it for you to take the emotional rollercoaster of a FOO recording session and turn it into one cohesive listening experience for the album? How much do you experiment with the track order and the inclusion of those little moments of studio banter and dialogue?
