I have joined so many online communities that have rules like "do not be racist" and "do not talk about politics," but these things seem mutually exclusive to me. Certain types of people simply existing should not be seen as political, but here we are.

That was the first video I've seen on this channel, and I absolutely loved it. Having done so, I'd think it takes a special kind of media brain-rotted stupidity to sit through it, and get unnaturally angry that anything about it was so triggering to another human's (apparently "human") sensibilities, and their extremely broad definition of whatever the hell they think "woke" means.

I agree with your take. I kind of get the other side; the show has lgbt and identity issues in it, and some gender reversal themes, but so what? It isn’t rubbed in your face, and it isn’t what the show is about. It was artistic, and that usually comes with a bit of flair and flavor that puts people off. To call it “woke” is reaching a bit, in my opinion.

If the cast isn't all straight yt men or women aren't conforming to stereotypical gender roles. it's woke. A group of people have been manipulated into believing no one else deserves representation and that only people with their traits must always be the primary, dominant characters even if it doesn't make sense. It's nauseating

A shocking amount of people are in my Scavengers Reign comment section calling it "woke" and I would just like to say my one sentence response:
"Shut up, I don't care about your opinion."
In all seriousness this is like only a few people, but they're being really weird. If the show is woke, I guess I'm woke. So hate me or whatever.
My videos aren't really political (not a dog whistle, just not learned enough to talk politics). I love all humans (except like evil ones) and if you can't engage with art that doesn't reflect your exact world view, in a constructive way, maybe art isn't for you (I don't mean you have to be overly positive about art you don't like, just no more of this culture war nonsense in my comments).
My videos are not a cultural critique, they're just about my love of art and making some funny jokes.
