DEVOTION: BY THE LITURGY 2ND MAY, 2025 Psalms 139:8 (KJV) If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
PRACTICING THE PRESENCE OF GOD
There is what we call the generic presence of God, the kind that never departs regardless of our fallen state (Genesis 4:9 (KJV). This kind of presence goes even in hell meaning that sin draws no boundaries against it because God also knows that the only way to save a sinner is if (Holiness does it).
That not being the center of our conversation today, let us talk about practicing the presence of God.
To take an example, when a teacher is in class, the voices tend to be low, the whispers don't intensify and noise is hardly recognized. When the teacher walks out without anyone realizing, the current state of the student's voices tends to remain the same.
There is a degree of discipline that we all exhibit when we understand that there is someone in charge. When we live a life continually recognizing God's presence in our lives, our spiritual character will definitely improve.
Filling your mind with continuous thoughts of God's presence will align you to perform as the presence commands.
Because it is through the knowledge of this presence that the manifestation of it's gifts becomes evident.
*Learn to live a life, always recognizing the presence of God that you may be aligned to the demands of His(God's) presence.*
Further study; Philemon 1:6 (KJV)
Prayer; Father God, we thank you for your word today, we acknowledge and honor your presence in our lives that the profiting of it may be shown to all. We live continually pondering on you that our character is made like you. In Jesus' name we pray and believe. Amen.
