You dont need to play the other God eaters to play 3. Theres ONE character that its centered around for a big chunk of the story which happens to be another Aragami Kid like in 1. (Soma, tho he was a Human conceived Aragami kid, Shio was an Aragami kid thats allegedly born from aragami) Theres a Similar character in 3. But To be perfectly clear. God Eater 3 is Separated from the other 3. (God eater + God eater Burst update God Eater Rebirth, God eater 2) Because for 3, they Changed the Director of the game. Its what we call... A Soft reboot. After a soft reboot. Because they had released 2...and 1 Rebirth after the Animation by UFOtable. Theres also the discussion of... CODE VEIN. But theres an argument that Codevein Happened in Another place... While the Oracle cells kept the Revenants out of the zone where aragami spawn... But its kind of refferenced during the events in 2 where theres an Influence that cause Aragaminto mutate, explained more in depth in 2 Than in BURST. Theres also the "Moon" 3 just Takes the main concept and Runs with a new story. Thats Separates from the others, but its after Events.
