Yeah, it’s expensive, no doubt, but what it brings, in terms of fine control and playability, is something that has never before been seen in this form factor. From what I recall, the price is the same as it was when the project was initially presented and subsequently backed in 2019. Furthermore, don’t sleep on the internal sounds of the Eaganmatrix, supplied by Haken Audio, provides a really deep synthesis engine; cabable of FM, physical modeling, granular synthesis, and standard subtractive synthesis… plus a bunch of other stuff, too. It looks to have a decent learning curve but editing looks pretty straightforward… at least as far as matrices go. Personally, I will gladly be selling pieces of my setup to afford this machine. I haven’t bought something new in a really long time and never have bought gear this expensive, but this allows for a level of subtlety, and variation, that can usually only be achieved with physical instruments. I sincerely look forward to hearing what people create with this machine.

People on this thread really need to watch the demos. It's an excellent polyphonic digital synth and a remarkable and well built MPE controller. Too pricey for me to impulse buy but I'm interested in it on the "one day" list.

Could get an entire setup for this price- hit up reverb and look for used gear. The amount of bang for your buck you could get sniping used gear.. just wow. Would love to try one but a novation sl mkiii would be less than half the cost, but with less features. You could get a Mac mini and Serum with what was left over, and end up with a killer setup. Too much used gear out there at bargain bin prices- albeit less features, but a lot cheaper.
