I don't consider myself a "proud hater", but I definitely feel stronger than "meh". If you're doing any vids about it, I'm very interested in your perspective on it. Between the announced changes, the things creatives on the project have said in interviews and the difference in the animation, I think I'll be skipping it. I've watched a lot of people's vids about it. Some of them went into extreme depth, comparing things the 90s series creators have said in interviews and in making-of books to what the current series creators have said. It's been more than thirty years since the original show, the synergy created by the people who made it what it was then is impossible to replicate now. One of the most interesting comparisons I saw was between Margaret Loesch's lack of support from the network making that series happen (so much so that they to they told her she'd loose her job if it flopped) and the original series creators' commitment to the source material as often as possible, versus the things the current series creators' have said in interviews about the total support for everything they wanted to do from Marvel/ Disney brass, how they want the series to "reflect themselves and all marginalized groups" and the changes they talked about making to their adaptations of the source material to accommodate those "reflections".

Now that you've had time to think about it, what is your rating of the new X-Men '97 trailer?
