I prefer to use vops cuz coding is too difficult for me and my sensei recommended at the beginning learn vops (into houdini series)

you keep the VOPs works, and teach all of the important VEX operations as easier as possible

Both options are great, but in my opinion, working with noise is much easier in VOPs. For complicated math, VEX is definitely the way to go. For example, when dealing with vectors, VOPs provide a better visual representation for complex logic, while VEX is preferable for simpler tasks. Whether you choose VEX or VOPs depends on how your brain is wired and the knowledge foundation you bring to your Houdini journey, such as your programming or math background.

depends for most things Vex but for pretty much anything to do with noises i prefer Vops always

Vex, but vops is also incredibly useful when needing to make a node\code map and visualize more complex setups, whether leaving it in vops or transferring it to vex afterwards

It's not a general preference. With some use cases, VOPs are far more efficient to use (noises, point clouds) and the interface is better usable. In others, VEX wins (all pscale use cases, quick attrib generation, quick falloffs). It's not a yes or no, I think. 😊

Both! Both are boss on their field! I am learning vex from @junichiro's channel! Would love to see from you too! And I have done vops from your intro to vops Series! Those are awesome!
