🌟What is Operation Sindoor? India’s Bold Strike Across the Border

đź’ŻOn May 6, 2025, India launched a powerful counter-terror operation named "Operation Sindoor", targeting terrorist camps deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This daring strike came as a direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 Hindu pilgrims.

Indian Air Force fighter jets, including Rafales, carried out precision strikes using SCALP and HAMMER missiles. In just 23 minutes, they hit nine high-value targets in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad—areas known to harbor terror infrastructure.

India made it clear: no Pakistani military installations were targeted—only terror camps were hit. However, Pakistan claims civilian casualties, including the death of a child, which India has not confirmed.

Following the strikes, Pakistan retaliated with shelling in Indian-controlled Kashmir, resulting in the death of three civilians. They also alleged they shot down Indian jets—again, unconfirmed by India.

The world watched in concern. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appealed for calm, urging both nuclear-armed nations to show restraint.

Operation Sindoor marks a bold message from India—terrorism will be answered with strength. It underscores India’s zero-tolerance stance and unwavering commitment to protect its sovereignty.
