It gives just enough extra bg story of all the characters that makes it amazing! It's simple but explains so much like the dwarves really works for the king and why they work and live together and how they heard if the queen and such. It's simple addition like this that I wish the movies would take a leaf out of there book. You don't need big extra arches and more backstory to tell a story.
