First of all, I want to give a big thanks to all of the people who voted on my most recent post. Even if it was only five people, every vote counts. After giving it some thought, I decided to go with my post-canon Hades and Persephone fan fiction. As I mentioned in my original video, my fan fiction with Hades and Hebe barely qualifies as a sickfic. I initially thought of using the prompts "A cry for attention" and "Nausea/Vomiting." But now that I've given it some more thought, the story may be more suitable for the whump genre. Admittedly, I still don't have a full understanding of what exactly whump is and even members of the whump fan fiction community admit that it's difficult to explain. However, I would argue that this would still be a fitting genre for a number of reasons. 1. I've noticed that some whump prompts implement themes commonly found in sickfics. 2. I plan to include some references to Hades' abusive relationship with Minthe and even a brief depiction via flashback. 3. I could potentially write it for the Tumblr event Whumptober, thus giving me more time for writing and editing. I'll post a link to my Tumblr account once I have published my first work for Sicktember. Thank you all again so much!
