But it turns out it’s not about the videos — YouTube just updated its adblock policy and changed how it treats certain kinds of content. This means videos are getting shown less if people watch with adblock on, or if the algorithm thinks the format is “less authentic.” This especially sucks since I’ve started this channel only in May and the views drop is very evident. I am really determined to make YouTube my full time job during the next year, but with updates like this I simply won’t be able to do it.
