Most people seem to not realize that the Snyderverse and the DCEU are mutually exclusive. Snyder left in 2017. While he got a producer credit in WW84, as a consultant, he had little to no role in the rest of the DCEU moving forward. Hell, Gunn had a bigger hand in Aquaman 2 and the Flash than Snyder, with all the reshoots that went on with Gunn as the co-head of DC.

Number 1. I also think Cavil being too cocky also has effects in it. For example he refused to shave his mustache costing millions in post production CGI and with a weird looking results. And how he refused to answer the call from Waner Bro, cause he was playing video games.
