So... few things. Might as well yap here, lol.
This version of Grey and Stanley is from "Arc 1".
Grey is unccaring and definitely tyrannical at times. A corporate person in power I guess you could say. He's an ass towards anyone he deems "incompetent" at their jobs.
His power reflects this desire for control. His voice. Everything he says will happen one way or another. It's perfect for keeping everything in order.
Unfortunately... Stanley (the guy he's in charge of) started displaying signs of disobedience.
He and Stanley were cold towards each other the first few system restarts, but their indifference would spiral into outright antagonism the longer they were stuck with each other.
Grey had someone he couldn't control, and Stanley doesn't want to be controlled.
Because of this contradiction, the system ends up inadvertedly bounding them together in one place. They couldn't leave if Grey's job wasn't complete, which was now impossible to do-- no thanks to Stanley.
Both want to leave, but can't ᵃⁿᵈ ᵗʰᵉⁿ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᵏᶦˢˢᵉᵈ What, who said that
