Ever wondered why popcorn 🍿 pops?

When you heat the kernel in the microwave, hot pot etc, the water inside turns into steam, creating pressure. Eventually, the pressure becomes too much for the kernel to contain, causing it to explode and turn inside out, resulting in the fluffy popcorn that you love feasting on!
