i think the issue is framing beauty in a way that separates light-skinned and dark-skinned women. when you say it’s normal for light-skinned women to be attractive, it suggests that dark-skinned women are the exception to that norm. that's just how language works. it’s like if someone said it’s normal for white women to look good. it would draw a line, making women of other races seem less beautiful by default because you specifically singled out white women. saying something similar about light-skinned women has the same effect, implying that beauty is more natural or inherent to them. i really like you and your work, so this isn't coming from a place of hate.
