Nothing will ever come close to the late 90s-00s era for quality and the vibe!! If you know you know!!!

Drumlines like the Original Nuttah’s - the editing that went with it - the dedication to do more with less is missing . Some folks are still doing it

Also, thanks for making awesome presets! Reverse engineering your patches has taught me so much about sound design.

I think it's better because more people have the ability to access, create and enjoy it. For the purists, you can still create with only hardware, if you want. There is literally nothing stopping you. But the fact that a broader audience can understand my favorite music and that free tools like Vital allow anyone to get into sound design, makes me feel like DNB is much better and stronger of a genre today than it used to be.

I selected worse based on what’s presented more in media. Quadruple dropping terrible squelchy sounding Hedex style tunes, people losing their minds over garbage like ‘badadan’, and this dub pack nonsense…although it’s a scene with so many sub genres so you can still find great music and artists within it.

Seems like d&b has hit the mainstream and now the soul less tunes get the attention. Seems like originally it was an Art form like hip hop was before that went the same way the mid 90s early 2000 . Sure you will still find great music in any genre but only the worst will get pushed by the mainstream outlets making you dig for it.
