What do you struggle with most when talking on camera:

@BETTERTIPSFORYOU

I now write my text. Before I attempted to memorize it all. But no more. I do, however, read my text at least 5-6 times BEFORE filming so I’m not completely looking down at the text while shooting. I’ve done this my last three-four videos. This allows me to feel better, comfortable, natural, confident!

Not coming across as a know it all. I surely don’t. Learning and growing all the time but don’t want to come across that way, so I tend to de-value what I actually DO know and can help aspiring filmmakers with.

Looking handsome

None of these. I’m mostly struggling with time and energy. I want to simplify my process and systematize the simplicity so I don’t get soooo caught up in lengthy research, sapping my energy, before I hit record. I’d love a video about that!

Please make a video on looking natural and what to do to calm nerves. I get on camera and then all of a sudden I feel like it’s “don’t screw up dude” in my mind despite the multiple takes

SOUNDING confident, especially when I'm demoing watercolor because I'm thinking about the watercolor, too! I often inadverdentky pause mid-sentence as I plan the next brush stroke. Sometimes, I fix it with a voice-over, but then the more natural and spontaneous speech is lost, not to mention slightly different sound quality

Balancing being interesting and sound exciting but also not being over animated and not like myself. Also I care more about BEING than looking.

I don’t script, so at times I make mistakes

The talking part and my face showing part, overall... everything about me being on camera in any way aside from my hands

@trailtocamp

Always worried that I don't come over as myself and I hate watching videos of people who's eyes are always looking at the screen when recording and not the camera. I worry I'll end up hating on mysrlf.

I don't "looking", cause I am not showing my face most of the time, for sure not when talking 😉

All of the above. I'm going to do more talking to the camera videos in 2025. To build confidence
