LegalEagle

Seems oddly specific and personal.

Have to say, I wouldn't have predicted even 5 years ago that I'd be subscribed to 2 lawyers on youtube. And one of them picks locks...

@xeonon

To be fair... You're not a YouTube lawyer... You're THE YouTube lawyer.

My friend studied medicine for 4 years with goals of going into surgery and pivoted becoming a successful EDM DJ.

Two of my favorite gaming YouTube studied law as well. At least you're still using the specific knowledge you got!

I didn’t realize going to law school was similar to being in a relationship.

I would say, if you told me 5 years ago I'd enjoy watching 30 minute videos breaking down dry legal topics with a combination of dad jokes and barely contained disbelief, I'd...well, come to think of it, I would be excited to see what was so awesome about the channel I was watching it on. But still, awesome work, Devon!

Sometimes it takes five years for him to come to his senses and get out of the toxic relationship.

I would love to see Legal Eagle and LPL do a team up. I saw a comment down here where LE suggests he picks locks too. That would be an epic crossover! Heck I would watch a convention of all Youtuber Lawyers hang out and tell outrageous stories! Man the wisdom these people have they are so wholesome. Who would have thunk that Law can be so much fun!

It was over ten years for me. And now I’m with someone who knew he wanted to marry me after a few months. Know your worth kings and queens.

It's an odd thing being on the internet watching a lawyer's briefs be explained by a lawyer. Shining a light on some of the strangest things in the legal system that manages to be entertaining on its own, but also serves as an example of casual learning, to educate regular people who aren't going into the profession. Practical Engineering is another one that I have grown to appreciate.

One of the things I actually really love about studying law is the OTHER stuff you can do besides practicing it. I am not adversarial. So when I became a paralegal, I knew that legal research, and not going to court, was my jam. I ended up becoming a legal research trainer for one of the big publishers. I love my job, and working with the law, just not so close that I am gonna be in the splash zone of a courtroom.

Well people have to make money somehow... most of those who studied law flip burgers, others give free legal consulting to elderly, there's 1% who actually work in the field but those are rare.

I studied French and Spanish at university. Now I make YouTube videos about tourism, RVs and history in Poland, Germany and Italy. If only I had known before I started studying!

Weird seeing this since I literally got married yesterday after five years of dating. I was the one dragging my feet though not him.

A lot of YouTubers I watch went to law school. Kinda interesting.

I wouldn't say spending 5 years with my face buried in my phone means I won't amount to anything. I watched YouTube for 5 years and now I'm a lawyer.
