Desi Return

Many NRIs quietly accept microaggressions, visa anxiety, and
We tolerate ๐›๐ž๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌโ€”because itโ€™s familiar.

But the thought of moving back to India? โ€ Uncomfortable. Too uncertain.

But in India,

In India, you belong.

@wheeledwanderer

What does an Indian tax payer get in return? 1. Do we get good infrastructure? 2. good medical facilities? 3. safety for women? 4. Road rage less driving? 5. 401k contribution? For some of us the above is important and it is ok to trade it with being a second grade citizen.

@hari7priya

1. Reservation system. 2. Cost of living including child education 3. Cost of medical care 4. Lacking professional work environments 5. Real estate prices 6. Adulteration of food and contamination of water (pH is very low). 7. No green cover in cities 8. Lots of pollution

Says the guy who had no issue giving up Indian citizenship for U.S. citizenship. No, I am not jealous - I got Australian Citizenship. Stereotypical mentality of many NRIs. Constantly complaining about the country that gave them everything but no issues taking up on the offer of permanent residency and citizenship.
