ADHD is not watching trailers or reading movie descriptions because you don’t want your fast brain to spoil it for you.

Extrapolation is both awesome and frustrating. I'm genuinely delighted with twists I didn't see coming.

Adhd is not being able to pick any movie and then end up watching nothing

Noooo I'm the opposite lol. I NEED to read the synopsis, I wouldn't have a clue what was going on otherwise! I have a hell of a job following the plot, and struggle with facial recognition, regularly mistaking one character for another if the actors look even vaguely similar. I watch trailers because I'm too impatient to sit through a movie long enough to decide if I like it. I watch everything with the subtitles on, because they allow my distracted brain to catch up on dialogue I just zoned out to. 🙄

ADHD is actually watching trailers and reading movie descriptions because you just can't wait

@PortHerc

I was watching a movie with my niece and she asked if I had seen it before because I knew everything that was going to happen. pattern recognition baby lol.

I watch and read them so I can skip the movie!

ADHD is not watching the majority of TV or movies because it’s all too predictable

How about watching the same movie almost every weekend for 20 years, because the predictability makes you calm? (Godfather 1-3) Anyone with me?

ADHD is reading the last two pages of a novel first.

Not I. I must know all about before I watch anything. I am one who supports spoilers.

I totally get this. After watching a movie trailer with a friend, I said, "Well, they just showed us the entire movie." We went on to watch it, and yeah, the trailer was really just a synopsis of the film. It really ruined it for me.

@sims-24

I still watch trailers but, don't read descriptions. Because I understand that trailers and spoilers are bits of the movie I watch them because I'm impatient. But still end up watching the whole movie, because of the blanks and anticipate what comes next in those blanks.

@MissChiefMoxie

Movie recaps and book reviews on YouTube have given me a sense of accomplishment and make me feel efficient. 😊

ADHD is reading the digest in a video's Description field (while the video begins to play), and closing down that video because you've now seen and heard enough to know how it will go. Moving on to the next...

ADHD is watching a movie and realizing 80% through that you’ve watched it before.

ADHD is not being able to sit through a whole movie because it's just too damn long. 😂

Idk. I watch a movie Friday night & by the next Friday night it’s a whole new movie to me. My late hubby got such a kick outta that with me. He would let me rent the movie & he would watch it again just to watch me watch it likes it’s my first time seeing it. Then I’ll always hit a part over half way through the movie when it hits me that I just watched this movie because I recognized one scene. 🤪🤣

I prevent my adhd relative to read and see. Because his brain is a freakin algorithm of calculation, knows istantly what's the mood what's the style the story and the end...And dang he's 99,9℅ of the times totally right 😳

@Maybee-hr9xr

Wow! I have been saying this to my friends and family for years. I hate spoilers. Same with books, I just read the title and hope for the best.

ADHD is masking the hell out of your entire movie experience. Just makes the whole experience very weird.
