On September 11, we took Fritz to the vet clinic early in the morning because his belly was getting bigger and bigger. A vet we visited previously advised us to puncture him as drainage tablets were not working. However, the vet at the clinic advised against this and wanted to do a CT scan first. We agreed. Unfortunately, the sedation cost Fritz too much strength. When we got back home, his condition didn't improve but only got worse. At 2 a.m. we drove back to the clinic. Fritz was then put to sleep there. Today we found out that he had a malignant tumor. That means he wouldn't have lived much longer either way. But the fact that his last 24 hours went so badly makes me infinitely sad. Thank you for your sympathy.

You gave Fritz such a great life! What a little star he was to many. You were trying your best to listen to vets and get him the best care- don’t ever feel bad for that. He was with the ones he loved (you) until the end. Thank you for giving him such a great life. ❤

I am so very sorry to learn of Fritz’s passing. I’m sending virtual hugs and understanding - we lost a kitty in a very similar fashion, and I would not wish that on anyone. Holding all who loved Fritz in the light, as they move through this period of grief.

Idk people are indifferent about how to handle death and thats as normal as it gets. Personally I believe that the pet wants to spend every moment with you as well, as long as they’re breathing and existing they want it to be with you. And as far as I BELIEVE, I think they know their home and their favorite hiding places and I think it’s normal for them to pass on themselves when they’ve finally had enough, and would probably like to do so in their favorite spot, or a new spot not adventured yet, but around all the people they truly trust and love. I have nothing against putting the little love bugs to rest when someone feels it’s needed and best for them, that’s what they believe and that’s not in anyway wrong. ❤️🩹❤️ moral of my yapping, try not to feel bad, you loved him to the very end no matter what. And that’s exactly his last moments, he will forever love you for that. 🙏🏼 remember, they’re still around, you’ll feel their presence once in a while, sometimes when you really need someone, and you’ll know 😌 May Fritz rest in peace, amen

At 2:30 a.m. Fritz's little heart stopped beating. We are infinitely sad! A few hours later we buried Fritz in his favorite place. In our garden.
Dear Fritz, We really wanted to let you go on a good day and not see you suffer. Please forgive us for putting you through so much in the last weeks of your life.
How could we ever thank you for enriching our life so much. We love you for eternity ♾️♥️
