Grammar Girl

In today's podcast, we talked about the long history of the word "literally" and how it came to be used figuratively hundreds of years ago.

Does it bother you when people use "literally" for emphasis, or does it seem fine to you?

I'm surprised that "it bothers me" got less than half. I'm always a little annoyed when people use a word to mean the opposite of its accepted meaning.
