My brother-in-law, Gordon Kennedy, co-wrote that song. I haven’t heard it in quite some time. Good to have it brought back to mind!

There is a clip that's been coming around of Bonnie & her Dad at the Boston Pop's in 1992, singing "Hey There." Bonnie really tore it up. Anyone seen it? It didn't come from Bonnie. 😢❤

This September marked the 20th anniversary of the release of Bonnie's 18th studio album, Souls Alike. The lead single, "I Will Not Be Broken," (written by Gordon Kennedy, Wayne Kirkpatrick, and Tommy Sims,) with it's message of resilience and resolve resonates deeply today. Upon the album's release in 2005 Bonnie said, "After this many albums and hundreds of songs, you want to find new things to say, new ways to say them. For me, one of the most exciting aspects of what I do is hearing some hidden part of myself reflected back in the songs of someone else. It's why that connection to artists we love is so deep. And then the alchemy of the band and I finding a way to make these songs our own—that's what keeps me coming back. Like prisms reflecting back on each other, we're souls alike."
