Thrift Thick

As I was finishing up today's video for you all, I saw the comments on last week's live stream. Oof. I can see how I could have come off as insensitive to many of you, but if you knew Dan and his family then you would know that me calling his parent's stuff that has been sitting in my car for the past 1+ year 'junk'... well, it's pretty accurate. It was odds and ends like outdoor Christmas lights, extension cords, Dan's high school graduation gown, etc. All of it was stuff that no one in Dan's family wanted after his parents passed. Heck, Dan didn't even want it lol he merely threw it in my car because other family members didn't want to throw it away (but they themselves didn't want to own it) so he said he would take it to make them feel less bad about not wanting it either. Dan copes with comedy, so he's not upset by me calling it "garbage"... if it wasn't garbage, he wouldn't have had it sitting in my car for over a year nor would he have thrown most of it away of his own volition when I needed to clean out and sell my car. I'm actually the one that made Dan hold on to certain things from his childhood (like pictures and art projects and whatnot that his parents had held onto), even though he would have rather thrown that stuff away with everything else in my car because he's just not sentimental like that.

I hope that can clear some things up and help you all see things from our side. We all cope and handle things in our own ways, and I'm sorry if the way that Dan and I interact sometimes is triggering to many of you. Dan and I love each other and are doing the best we can to support and care for each other, especially during times of grief like when his parents passed away.

Sending you all my love and I hope you enjoy this week's video (it'll be live in about 15 minutes) ❤️
