All of the above..PLUS EXCELLENT NIGHT VISION! Their occipital lobe and eyes were BIGGER, than modern humans hence increase in their skull.

Do not underestimate lung capacity. Without that lung capacity to oxygenate muscles, an OP Neanderthal would be one of those ridiculously oversized body builders who can only last maybe 30 seconds in an MMA ring.

The reason the neanderthals died out is that they couldn't breed with our women but we could breed with their women. That's all it came down to.

It's 100% cold resistance. You can overcome less muscle mass and smaller bone density, you can't do much about the cold outside of bundling up and hoping for the best.
