1.The melted transmission input gear from my first British sports car, a tr7. It got so hot that the roller bearings welded to the race before the shaft melted and twisted off. 2.The radio shack portable with the 8 lines of display and the clamps with needles to penetrate the cord on a pay phone that I made and was used to send back stories to the newspaper I worked at during the big earthquake and volcanic eruption in Guatemala to send stories back in the 1980’s 3. The antique astrolabe that was given to me by a captain of a tall masted sailing ship, that he had gotten from his grandfather.

1. A bottle-opener I always (and only) used when drinking beer with my father. He died 8 years ago and this bottle opener reninds me of many things. One is, to not always bury myself in work and solo-activities - to also spend some time with very close persons, as long as they're still on earth. 2. A photo I shot in the huge forest of Thuringia, Germany. Which reminds me to go out more often and wind-down in nature.

All Things Secured
The items I place in the background of All Things Secured videos may not be noticed by all, but each are important to me. For example:
--> The shot glass I got when I saw Hamilton in New York City with my wife. I love this idea of "not throwing away your shot".
--> The Lego globe given to me (and built with me) by my kids for Christmas. It's a reminder of my boys and also of the very global life we live.
--> The YouTube plaque. It's a vanity metric, I know, but it's one of those things that represents a lot of hard work.
What are those one or two special items that you keep on your desk or at your workplace that have special significance?
